Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team. The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Duties:

- Process purchase requisitions and orders within purchasing authority
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
- Monitor and track inventory levels to avoid overstocking or running out of supplies
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, prices, and terms
- Assist in evaluating vendor performance to ensure quality and timely deliveries
- Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics
- Familiarity with JobBoss, AS400, Edwards, or similar procurement software
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers
- Understanding of materials management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
